In addition to his degree in mechanical engineering, Dr. Schmolzer also earned an MBA (Vienna) as well as a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Economics. In 1984 he attended the senior executive program at MIT's Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA).
Dr. Schmolzer spent many years working in Colombia, Germany and the United States. In Colombia, he led a market study that resulted in the establishment of offices of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In the United States, he was the founding officer and CEO of a subsidiary of a major European industrial concern. Dr. Schmolzer has extensive export marketing experience for capital goods in almost every major market in the world. Dr. Schmolzer speaks fluent German, English and Spanish.
